Part 1 Scenes from the family life recorded in May 1978 in Marzena’s Warsaw apartment. The film is entitled When Sylwia Was Still a Little Baby. Marzena takes care of her daughter, Sylwia, hugs her, feeds her and changes her nappy. The girl is still very small. She finds it difficult to keep her head up while lying. Part 2 September 1978, Marzena’s apartment in Warsaw. Scenes from the family life: Sylwia, Marzena’s daughter, explores the world: crawles on a wooden floor, clumsily tries to drink from a bottle with a pacifier, stands up leaning against a pouf, plays with her own reflection in the mirror. Part 3 November 1978, a visit to the family home in Cracow. Marzena and Jadwiga take care of little Sylwia, play with her and feed her. Sylwia crawls and explores her grandparents’ apartment with great interest, tries to stand up, reaches for toys, and also tries to drink from a bottle and eat a roll on her own. (MB)
