description

A film from 1967 from a holiday trip of Urszula and Paweł Górny to Yugoslavia. It was Paweł’s favorite place. He returned there many times. The future spouses (they married in January 1968) traveled along the coast of Yugoslavia. They visited, among others, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Rabac and Rijeka. They traveled by train, coach and hitchhiked, and spent the nights on campsites. Signs, signposts and inscriptions on the buildings allow us to partially decipher the route that Paweł and Urszula took, i.e. Dubrovnik, Trstenik campsite near Dubrovnik, the cities of Zadar, Rabac and Rijeka. In Dubrovnik, the camera takes turns showing Ursula and city attractions, among others, the Pile Gate, which is the entrance to the Old Town. In Rijeka, a huge impression on Paweł and Urszula is made by a wide selection of alcohols in the department store, whose offer also includes Polish Żubrówka and Wyborowa. On the way back to Poland, Urszula and Paweł set off by train. They go through Budapest, located on the Danube. We can see the panorama of the city seen from the bridge, genre street scenes and neon lights illuminating the night.
