He was an electrical engineer by education, and a passionate moviegoer and collector of films and film cameras. In 1925, he founded a travelling cinema “Oaza”, touring the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Although the business went bankrupt after a year, the passion for cinematography remained with Eugeniusz until his death. In December 1939, he moved with his family to Warsaw and settled in Saska Kępa. An important place in his life was Giby – a village in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, to which he traveled from the 40s. There he rested, kayaked and took pictures. Eugeniusz died in Giby in 1982, and the hood of his beloved car (Hansa) rested on his tombstone. The film was made in 1980 during the first trip abroad of Eugeniusz and Ludwika Małanicz. The purpose of the trip was to visit their daughter (Barbara Łabno), who lived with her husband (Leszek) and their son (Tomek) in Nussbaumen in Switzerland. During the trip, several films were made on the so-called “colour kodaks” – these are Eugeniusz’s first and last colour films he made. An account of a trip to the miniature park “Swissminiatur” in Melide on Lake Lugano. Barbara shows a park guidebook to the camera and together with other visitors looks at the miniatures. (AT) leisure time leisure time Andrzej Wysokiński was born on July 11, 1934 in Marki, near Warsaw. After graduating from the Academy of Physical Education, he worked as a fencing and skiing coach, as well as a PE teacher at a school in Radziechowy. Andrzej’s first films were records of everyday life in Łódź with his wife Elżbieta and son Marek. As a sports enthusiast, he also recorded skiing competitions, tennis court games or foreign trips to the mountains. After separating from Elżbieta, he settled in the Beskid region of Radziechowy with his partner Jadwiga and daughter Jolanta. Andrzej recorded family films first with an 8mm tape camera, but in later years, as technology developed, he changed equipment and used VHS and digital cameras. Film made in Łódź and Karkonosze around 1969. Part 1 The family spends time together during a winter trip to the mountains. The adults’ attention is focused on entertaining several-year-old Marek. Part 1 The film was made in the summer of 1972 in Gryfice. Ryszard’s son, Jacek, spends summer at his grandparents’ place. Shots of a now non-existent house on Kamieńska Street. Jacek and his cousin (Izabella Urbanek) play outside with a ball and stroke cats. Part 2 The film was made in the summer of 1973 in Gryfice. Jacek and Izabella under the supervision of family members (Janina and Tadeusz Urbanek, Henryka Cypryjańska and Elżbieta Zagrodna) play in their grandparents’ garden. Children try to stand on their heads and play on the grass. Part 3 A part of summer in 1972 is spent by the family in Rewal by the sea. Henryka with her son (Jacek) and Elżbieta walk by the FWP canteen in the café Zdrój (today’s California restaurant) and sit on the terrace. The boy looks out the window in the room of the family’s rented accommodation and plays on a mattress in the sea. After graduating from the Academy of Physical Education, he worked as a fencing and skiing coach, as well as a PE teacher at a school in Radziechowy. Andrzej’s first films were records of everyday life in Łódź with his wife Elżbieta and son Marek. As a sports enthusiast, he also recorded skiing competitions, tennis court games or foreign trips to the mountains. After separating from Elżbieta, he settled in the Beskid region of Radziechowy with his partner Jadwiga and daughter Jolanta. Andrzej recorded family films first with an 8mm tape camera, but in later years, as technology developed, he changed equipment and used VHS and digital cameras.
