description

Nepal, 4000 meters above sea level, ascent of Manaslu eight-thousander. A documentary material from a high-altitude expedition that took place in 2001. Its goal was to reach the summit of Manaslu eight-thousander located in Nepal. The leader of the expedition to the Mountain of the Spirit, as this peak is called, was Krzysztof Tarasiewicz. Unfortunately, the summit was not reached due to heavy snowfall. The film was shot in mountain scenery at an altitude of over 4000 meters. Genre scenes from the camp on a rocky mountainside. Three igloo tents and two large, classic tents with a triangular roof. Between the tents, there are barrels used to transport equipment and provisions. We can see a rope with Tibetan prayer flags. As Krzysztof Heyke recalls, the camp was next to a high-mountain farmstead for yaks. However, we do not see it in the film.
