Ryszard Cypryjański documented his family life with a camera borrowed from a colleague at the Selfa Electroheating Production Plant in Szczecin.

Part 1

The film was made in the summer of 1972 in Gryfice. Ryszard’s son, Jacek, spends summer at his grandparents’ place. Shots of a now non-existent house on Kamieńska Street. Jacek and his cousin (Izabella Urbanek) play outside with a ball and stroke cats.

Part 2

The film was made in the summer of 1973 in Gryfice. Jacek and Izabella under the supervision of family members (Janina and Tadeusz Urbanek, Henryka Cypryjańska and Elżbieta Zagrodna) play in their grandparents’ garden. Children try to stand on their heads and play on the grass.

Part 3

A part of summer in 1972 is spent by the family in Rewal by the sea. Henryka with her son (Jacek) and Elżbieta walk by the FWP canteen in the café Zdrój (today’s California restaurant) and sit on the terrace. The boy looks out the window in the room of the family’s rented accommodation and plays on a mattress in the sea.
