description

The author of the film is Antoni Milewski, who filmed the family-life events with a quarz zoom camera, bought in a Kielce photoshop.

Part 1

The film was made in the winter of 1976. Antoni’s wife, Teresa, helps her daughter (Milena), who slept in a pram on the balcony, take off her winter clothes. The woman takes the sleepy girl in her arms and gives her kisses on the cheek. Shots of the Milewski family’s apartment. In a living room, we can see Hungarian armchairs, a Szmaragd TV and an oil painting. When the girl takes in the fresh air on the balcony again, Teresa prepares her warm milk. After the meal, the mother changes her daughter’s diaper, hugs her and lifts her up. Milena plays with a teddy bear and a doll.

Part 2

The film was made in 1969 during Antoni and Teresa’s trip to Cracow. A mosaic of scenes from visiting the city – shots of the dome of the Sigismund Chapel at Wawel Castle, the castle cloister, the Main Market Square, the monument of Adam Mickiewicz. Teresa in a fur cap enters a café in the Cloth Hall. After a coffee break, Antoni and Teresa head towards the station and return to Kielce by train.

Part 3

Antoni’s friends (Teresa, Pola, and Andrzej) walk around the area of Kielce Kadzielnia. A nature reserve with several caves is situated in the former quarry. In 1971, an amphitheatre was built there. Pola and Andrzej have fun on stage. The friends climb on rocks and watch the panorama of the city.

Part 4

Edward “Edo” Tuz and Marian Ulc slide on a frozen pool in Szałas, a small village on the edge of the Świętokrzyski Primeval Forest. The men are joined by Teresa, who falls over on the ice. While walking in the woods, Edo and Marian light a campfire. Marian stands on the doorstep. We can see wooden sculptures of his authorship on the building, its roof, and its fence. Both friends of Antoni from Szałas not only lived in the village, but also had their own art studios there. Edo is a painter and Marian is a sculptor of folk art.

Part 4

An account of the visit to the Raj cave near Chęciny in 1970. Teresa and Andrzej wait to enter the cave and brush off the information plate from the snow. Due to a bus failure on the way back, Teresa and Andrzej walk along the road and stop at the café Słowik in Kielce.
