description |
Genre scenes from New York. The film was recorded in the first half of 1977, when Wanda Janczur was heavily pregnant with her son, Ireneusz. We can see Wanda, Zbigniew and their daughter on the World Trade Center observation tower, from where there is an impressive panorama of New York: bridges crossing the East River connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn, the East River estuary. The camera also captures the street life of New York: the World Trade Center complex, the Twin Towers, the streets of Chinatown and 6th Avenue. The film was shot shortly before the Janczur couple returned to Poland. In the final shots, we see the Polish consulate in Manhattan. (MB)
