Antoni Matuszny, who came from the Beskid village of Laliki, was interested in photography since he was a child. As he recalls, he wanted to save the life of his family and the countryside in the 1970s from oblivion. At the age of thirteen, he bought the first camera, and when he was 24 – the camera of the Soviet Quarz 5.
A film made in the summer of 1983 in Cięcina. The family is spending time at the Cięcinka stream. Antoni’s wife, Elżbieta, is sunbathing on a deckchair. Antoni and Elżbieta’s daughter Paulina plays in the water with Franciszek Wojciuch, grandfather on her mother’s side, and Elżbieta’s sister, Jadwiga. Back home, Paulina plays with a ball in the backyard with Przemek, the son of Elżbieta ‘s cousin. The adults sit on a bench by the fence and talk.
