The author of the film is Jarosław Krajewski (born in 1952 in Poznań). As a teenager, he received his first camera as a gift from his parents. Since then, he has filmed important events and family life: weddings, holiday trips to the Powidz area, as well as his daughters, Paula and Zuzanna, growing up. Jarosław was interested in journalism. In his youth, he belonged to the Club of Youth Journalists (KDM), later he worked, among others, in the office and the company newspaper in a furniture factory and as a tour guide in Europe. He currently lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Part 1
An account of a holiday trip near Powidz (in the summer of 1979), an important place for the Krajewski family, where the family spent their annual, monthly holiday for many years. Jarosław’s wife, Alicja, with their daughter, Paula, and other participants of the trip sit at a table in the open air. As the author of the film recalls, their relatives and friends often came to Powidz for holidays. During this trip, Jarosław and Alicja were joined by her sister, Hanna, with her husband Leszek and children, her brother Przemysław (Przemko) with his friend, Marian, and her cousin, Donia, with her husband, Zdziś. The trip took place at the turn of June and July, before Kazimiera and Albin came to Powidz for their month-long holiday. Paula and Hania’s daughter lie on an inflatable mattress. Shots of various places at the campsite marked for a joke with cards with the inscriptions “gluttony tree”, “granary” or “caro bar”, tents and bicycles standing next to a tree. The participants of the trip rest by the lake. A close-up of the tent with the “Paula Show” card attached. Alicja cooks in the kitchen arranged in the utility tent. Paula plays in the tent opposite. The inhabitants of the camp eat dinner together. From the left, there are: Marian, Przemko, Hania, Ryszard, Jarosław, Paula and Donia. One of the men tries to mount a children’s swing in a large tent. Mr. Wojtek’s visit to the campsite. Shots of tents, tourist chairs and bicycles. Hania, Alicja and Donia sunbathe in the meadow and do gymnastic exercises together. One of them stands on her hands. Donia pours some soup into bowls that are on the table. Adults rest in front of the tent. Paula plays with a boy of her age. One of the men lights a bonfire and shows a small fish caught earlier to the camera. Alicja sits in front of the tent and knits. Women sunbathe, smoke cigarettes and talk. Shots of a burning bonfire and clouds in the sky. The boy watches a goose walking around the campsite and watches the motorcycle together with his mother.

Part 2
The film was made during a family trip to Szklarska Poręba in October 1979. As the author of the film recalls, the family walked in the mountains, visited the Łabski Szczyt shelter and ended the trip at the beginning of November along with the first snowfall. Alicja and Paula eat soup together from one plate. In the next shot, they walk along a mountain path on a stony slope. Alicja lies in bed with her daughter and covers her face with a duvet, while Paula looks at the children’s book. Alicja with Paula in a carrier on her back goes down the mountain trail. The girl walks alone for a while, then falls asleep in the carrier. The family visits the interior of the church. Shots from Szklarska Poręba Górna railway station. Alicja and Paula sit on a bench on the platform. Alicja and her daughter sit at an outdoor table and eat sandwiches, then walk around the town. Shots from the upper station of the chairlift to Szrenica. The panorama of the mountains. Alicja and Paula walk the trail, resting on the grass on the way. A shot of Szrenica from the trail. A close-up of the unfolded map of the Karkonosze mountains, lying on Alicja’s lap. Shots from the Polish-Czechoslovak Friendship Road of information boards on the trail and Alicja walking with Paula.
