description |
The author of the film is Jerzy Łapkiewicz, who filmed the events of his family’s life with a Quarz Zoom camera and Super 8 tape, borrowed from a colleague, who bought it in the Foto-Optyka shop. The film was made in the spring orchard that belonged to Jerzy’s family in Rypin. Jerzy Łapkiewicz’s mother, Sława, with her daughter-in-law, Maria, and her granddaughters, Ola and Ania, walk around the blooming May orchard. Maria takes her daughter, Ola, in her arms. The girls sit on the grass between the trees and tear off the dandelion clocks. Jerzy’s brother, Kazimierz, mows the grass with a Ursus tractor in the orchard on the path next to the walking Sława and Maria, who hold the girls’ hands. Maria and Jerzy stand by a flowering tree. They take their daughters in their arms. (AT)
