Wysokińscy Family Archive

The author of the film is Andrzej Wysokiński (1934–2018), a fencing, skiing and tennis coach. The man was interested in film and had been documenting family life and sports trips and competitions since the 1960s. 

Film shot in the Beskid village of Radziechowy and Szczyrk around 1991. Andrzej records himself in a mirror and is making faces at the camera. A mosaic of genre scenes documenting the childhood of Jola, daughter of Andrzej and Jadwiga. The girl spends time with her friend Ewelina in the garden, sliding down the slide, skiing with her dad and playing in the pool. The girl is accompanied in her play by a cat running around the yard, and in the background you can also see laundry drying and a Fiat 128 – a barlinetta.
