description |
The author of the film is Marcin Kęszycki, who as a teenager documented family and social life with a Newa 2 camera. Film shot in the flat of the Kęszycki family in Poznań in 1966 or 1967. A boy is holding a small dog in his hand and showing it to the camera. The boxer Saba is feeding the puppies in the pit. All the dogs – Uncle, Orphan, Wanderer, Sleepy, Ass, Yellow, Elegant and Hungry – went to new homes soon after the filming. The Orphan was taken care of by Marcin’s later friend, an actress at the Ósmy Dzień Theatre. Saba accompanied the family until around 1975. A boy is trying to encourage one of the doggies to play.
