The author of the film is Bohdan Kowalski, who works as a Polish language teacher by day. His passions were travelling, film and photography. He was also co-founder of the Ińsko Film Summer, the University of the Third Age and the Film Discussion Club in Stargard. The film was made in the 1970s during a cruise to Greece. Shots of store signs and the busy streets of Thessaloniki. Bohdan walks along the seaside promenade, with the White Tower – one of the city’s most iconic landmarks – visible in the background. During his stay in Thessaloniki, the man not only visits monuments such as the Triumphal Arch of Galerius and the church of Agios Georgios, but also looks at the daily life of the locals, watching storefronts and products not available in Poland at the time.
