description

Zbigniew Bełżecki (1914–2009) worked by day as a chemist in the research department of the Cracow Pharmaceutical Plant “Polfa”. His film archive consists of records of trips with his wife Jadwiga and daughter Marzena, as well as motorcycle trips around Europe.

The trips were always preceded by long preparations, and after their completion Zbigniew wrote down the recorded audio diaries and created books from them on his own. He was also passionate about nature and photography.

Part 1

A visit to a holiday resort in Prudnik in July 1974. Marzena is on a swing. In the background, there is Syrena – a disliked by the family means of transport. A trip with parents to the resort, where old railway cars have been adapted for accommodations.

Part 2

Nysa – short genre scenes: city walk, walking and resting in the bosom of nature.

Part 3

Genre scenes from a holiday trip to the seaside, to Międzyzdroje, as well as from visits to Świnoujście and Kamień Pomorski in 1974. It was one of a total of eleven trips to the seaside resort, the only one in which Zbigniew Bełżecki participated, who preferred to spend his holidays in Masuria. Typical holiday scenes: walks on seaside beaches, forest or seaside boulevards, playing beach volleyball, searching for amber, shopping in souvenir shops and relaxing on the beach.
