Zygmunt Buda was born in Poznań in 1924 and was interested in photography since his childhood. From 1941, he worked in the Poznań photographic company Foto-Stewner, founded by Ernest Stewner. After the end of the war, he worked as a photographer in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from which, in the 50s, he was dismissed for political incorrectness. From the 60s, he worked in the Film Services Department at the corner of Marszałkowska and Krucza streets in Warsaw. Zygmunt recorded films with a business camera with a 16-millimeter tape and a private SANYO camera with an 8-millimeter tape, which he received as a gift from a family living in the USA. His sons, Jacek and Marek, as well as the next generations of the Buda family, also became enthusiasts of filming family life.
Part 1 
Summer 1985. Irmina (Jacek ‘s wife) together with her son (Piotrek) comes out of her block of flats and gets into Fiat 126p, a “Maluch”. Piotrek plays with his mother in the swimming pool in Zalesie Górne. 
Part 2 
July 26, 1985. The family celebrates the name day of Ania (Marek Buda’s daughter). Irmina plays with Ania, Paweł (Ania’s brother) and Piotrek.
Part 3
July 31, 1985. The family meeting celebrating Piotrek’s second birthday. The boy, with the help of his mother, blows out candles on his birthday cake. The whole family is present at the event: Zygmunt and Katarzyna (the grandparents), Marek and Romana with Ania and Paweł (their children), grandparents Elżbieta and Franciszek Staszewscy (Irmina’s parents), Janina and Bogdan Sobol with their guest from San Francisco (Jan Budziński) and Piotrek’s nanny (Mrs. Renata). Piotrek together with Ania and Paweł play with birthday presents. 
Part 4
August 1, 1985. Piotrek plays on the balcony.
Part 5
An account of a holiday in Krynica Morska in August 1985. Ania, Paweł and Piotrek play on the beach watched by grandma Kasia and together with grandpa Zygmunt and Romana swim in the sea on an inflatable pontoon for children. Piotrek sleeps in a beach tent. After the nap, the children continue to play in the sand. 
Part 6
September 13, 1985. Piotrek plays on the playground in front of the block of flats. 
Part 7 
October 20, 1985. The Buda family pay a visit to Irmina’s parents (Elżbieta and Franciszek) at the Warsaw’s Groty housing estate. Piotrek plays with the cat Bazyli. The family walks in the nearby forest. 
Part 8
November 3, 1985. An account of a family walk in Skaryszewski Park. 
Part 9
November 17, 1985. Irmina and Piotrek walk around the Royal Baths Park and watch squirrels, ducks and peacocks. In the park, there is fresh and first snow this year. 
Part 10
December 24, 1985. The family spends Christmas Eve at Katarzyna and Zygmunt’s in their apartment at Puławska Street. Santa Claus gives gifts to children.
