description	Eugeniusz Małanicz was born in 1904 in Zelczyn. He was an electrical engineer by education, and a passionate moviegoer and collector of films and film cameras. In 1925, he founded a travelling cinema “Oaza”, touring the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Although the business went bankrupt after a year, the passion for cinematography remained with Eugeniusz until his death. In December 1939, he moved with his family to Warsaw and settled in Saska Kępa. An important place in his life was Giby – a village in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, to which he traveled from the 40s. There he rested, kayaked and took pictures. Eugeniusz died in Giby in 1982, and the hood of his beloved car (Hansa) rested on his tombstone. A film made in the second half of the 1970s. Part 1 The Małanicz family spends time in Giby and at nearby Lake Pomorze. Part 2 Shot from Eugeniusz’s room on Obrońców Street in Warsaw’s Saska Kępa, showing a collection of projectors, filmstrips and electrical appliances such as a glowing carousel. Part 3 An account of Ludwika and Eugeniusz’s trip. Part 4 The Małanicz family are on holiday in Giby. Ludwika and Eugeniusz are having fun with friends in the evenings and looking after their grandchildren during the day. Anna Malanicz (daughter-in-law of Ludwika and Eugeniusz) and Elżbieta Malanicz-Onoszko spend time in front of the cottage. Part 5 An account of the banquet held in 1978 in Giby to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Eugeniusz and Ludwika. Guests sit around the table, chatting and eating cake. Ludwika and Eugeniusz make a toast and hug each other. Part 6 Ludwika is talking to her sister Regina Surowiec in the living room of the flat on Obrońców Street.
