description

Janusz Dybkowski (1954–2003) was a photographer and journalist who collaborated with numerous editorial offices, including “”Tygodnik Piotrkowski”” and “”Dziennik Łódzki””. In Piotrków, he documented significant local events and the daily life of the city. His film collection consists of both footage of family life and documentary materials.

A film focusing on the Piotrków Trybunalski Royal Castle. Shots of the building from several angles, including a view from Zamkowa Street, and architectural details – window frames and stones on the facade. Shots of exhibits and display boards, antique furniture, and carved 16th-century portals. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the castle has housed a museum showcasing local history artifacts. A panorama of the city with the tower of the Minor Basilica of St. James the Apostle in the foreground, and visible towers of Sanktuarium Matki Bożej Trybunalskiej.
