description	This collection of films was recorded by a married couple, Paweł and Joanna Morzyszek. Amateur films shot on 8 mm and Super 8 film reels document family life: celebrations, holidays, vacations, and travels. The archive covers materials from a 20-year period, from 1968 to 1988, which allow us to follow the growing up of Paweł and Joanna’s children – Ewa and Tomek – and their granddaughters – Agata and Anna. Part 1 The Morzyszek family is preparing for their vacation trip. The first shots show two shirtless teenage boys and Joanna Morzyszek near the Wartburg car. Later, a larger group of vacationers gathers by the car near a roadside gas station. Part 2 A blurry, overexposed title card. The text probably reads: “CŚ. 20.06.1970 R.” The family is sightseeing in Bucharest. The footage includes several landmarks, such as the Triumphal Arch (Arcul de Triumf) and the Romanian Athenaeum (Ateneul Român). Later, in a parking lot, Joanna talks to a group of local boys while Paweł Morzyszek repairs the car. Part 3 Brief shots of the sea and people swimming. Scenes at the Kovačine campsite. Joanna is serving soup to children sitting at a folding camping table. A brief shot of the tent and the family eating nearby. Part 4 Scenes by the sea: the cameraman observes family members swimming. Part 5 The Morzyszek family is walking around the town and port. Part 6 From a hilltop, the family observes the view of the sea and the town in the valley. Part 7 A stop during the journey. The Morzyszek family is camping next to their Wartburg parked by the roadside. A cornfield is visible in the background. Part 8 Various shots of the seaside resort: the sea, rocky coastline, hotel buildings, and modernist pavilions with bars and restaurants. (WO)
