description	This collection of films was recorded by a married couple, Paweł and Joanna Morzyszek. Amateur films shot on 8 mm and Super 8 film reels document family life: celebrations, holidays, vacations, and travels. The archive covers materials from a 20-year period, from 1968 to 1988, which allow us to follow the growing up of Paweł and Joanna’s children – Ewa and Tomek – and their granddaughters – Agata and Anna. The film was recorded in 1976 on the wedding day of Ewa Miller and her fiancé Jacek. Part 1 The camera observes two birds nesting on a windowsill. Part 2 Ewa and Jacek leave the apartment building accompanied by other family members. Everyone is dressed up. The couple gets into the car and drives away. The sequence ends with a close-up of a rose bed. Part 3 The car with the newlyweds returns. Ewa gets out of the car – Jacek helps her by holding the door and her flower bouquet. Part 4 The newlyweds leave the apartment building. Ewa is wearing a long sky-blue wedding dress. Accompanied by other family members, the couple gets into the car. The next shot shows Jacek surrounded by family in front of the car. Part 5 The newlyweds, accompanied by family, leave the Civil Registry Office after the wedding ceremony. As they come down the stairs, the couple collects coins thrown at their feet. Part 6 The couple, accompanied by family, walks past the modernist pavilion of “Europa” restaurant. The sequence ends with a series of shots of an anthurium bouquet. Part 7 Footage from the church during mass. A priest in golden liturgical vestments appears in the darkness. Part 8 Footage from the restaurant during the wedding reception. Silhouettes of guests at tables appear in dark frames. (WO)
