description

The films from the Surowiec family archive were recorded in the first half of the 1980s, probably between 1983 and 1984. Most of them were shot during business trips abroad.
Part 1
The film was shot during a trip to Turkey. It shows a group of children in traditional Kraków folk costumes preparing for a parade performance. The children are holding hoops decorated with colorful ribbons. One of them is lifting a sign that reads “Polonya.” The following shots show Turkish representation during the parade.
Part 2
Various shots share the presence of a car, an Opel Ascona, most likely belonging to the filmmakers. The camera captures it in a parking lot, on the street, and on the shoulder of an expressway leading to the Bosphorus Bridge.
Part 3
Shots of a mountain landscape. One of them shows the Opel Ascona and a woman smoking a cigarette on a bench.
