description |
Walery Pisarek was a well-known linguist, media expert and popularizer of science. He bought a camera in the early 60s, during a business trip to Hungary, where he went as the artistic director of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Nowa Huta community centre. The film was recorded during the author’s trip to a media conference in Argentina. We observe the participants of the conference in their free time (in a short shot, we can see the author of the film, holding a bull skull), tourist attractions, panoramas, architecture, advertisements, signs and neon signs in the streets of Buenos Aires. We can notice the author’s special interest in monuments. The camera carefully follows their forms and details. It is worth taking a look at the monument of Christopher Columbus, which does not exist today. (CN)
