The author of the film is Andrzej Jastrzębski – a jazz tuba player, photography and old car enthusiast – who immortalized family memories using a Zenit camera and an 8 mm camera. Part 1 Film shot during the Easter procession at St Anne’s Church in Warsaw’s Wilanów district in 1979. Participants in the procession are walking around the church; one of those carrying the flags is Andrzej’s daughter, Sabina. Sabina’s younger sister, Marianna, can also be seen among the faithful. After the ceremony, the girls are standing in the car park next to the church. Part 2 Film shot during Sabina’s communion at St Anne’s Church in 1981. Children dressed in communion clothes are leaving St Anne’s Church in Warsaw’s Wilanów district. Sabina, together with her mother Ewa, sisters Marianna and Diana in a pram, is walking by the church. Part 3 A mosaic of genre scenes from a family holiday in Dębki in 1981. The sisters are playing in the courtyard and on the beach. From 1980 the Jastrzębscy family spent their summer holidays in Dębki staying with Mr and Mrs Pestilenc, who made part of their yard available to tourists with their own tents or caravans. During these summer trips, the family would buy fresh herring from the fishermen, from which supplies were prepared for the whole year. Part 4 Film shot during a holiday trip to Pluski on Pluszne Lake in 1982. The sisters and their cousin are sailing on the lake in a folding boat, which Andrzej took on every holiday. (AT)
