description

Zbigniew Bełżecki (1914–2009) worked by day as a chemist in the research department of the Cracow Pharmaceutical Plant “Polfa”. His film archive consists of records of trips with his wife Jadwiga and daughter Marzena, as well as motorcycle trips around Europe.

The trips were always preceded by long preparations, and after their completion Zbigniew wrote down the recorded audio diaries and created books from them on his own. He was also passionate about nature and photography.

Part 1
A film made during Zbigniew Bełżecki’s stay in London. Shots of Piccadilly Circus and people sitting under the fountain. A man and a woman get out of a car and walk around the town. Shots of a car journey on country roads. Group of friends chats in garden, a man mows grass. Shots of air travel.
Part 2
Shots of handmade placards with the next points on the route. These placards were later used by Zbigniew to edit films of the journey.
